Esplanade 2008 .. The great minds and times ..

It was a great performance yesterday! So far the best one I've ever had this year. Except that the sound system went haywired again for a short while.

It was the best out of all the performances that I've had so far this year. Still remembering those times when things didn't go my way and wasn't what I expected. Well, these are memorable dates to remember ..

11 January 2008 - Carelink Peformance. A great debut as a performer. It was calm, controlled but it didnt turn out very well somehow, but it was great to perform there.

7 March 2008 - Seniors Fair performance .. A bad start performing in public. Unexpected. It was not that horrible, but it was bad. Anw, forget about that, it was my most enthusiastic day. Good crowd, good support.

7 March 2008 - Claps Performance, the biggest public performance for December Identity at that time. Also, the most SCREWED. Totally embarrassed ourselves. That's where I realised, I didnt want to be in that position of being embarrassed anymore. We've got little support there.

30 March 2008 - The day Edy Ali smashed us with harsh words saying that we took the Anugerah Band Auditions like a practice session. I knew by then we had to do something.

December Identity broke up in mid April and Foto left the club because he couldnt stay anymore. Everything fell apart. But Helmi and I decided to do something to relive the spirit that Foto once brought to the club.

Credits to Helmi for opening the youth club every Saturday to teach the kids new songs. Due to our hard and consistent practice, we decided to perform together with the kids in August. And our first stop ..

18 August 2008 - CHIJ Toa Payoh Secondary. A great place to perform at. It was a pleasure. It was also my debut performance as a lead singer. Hot girls, sexy guys (us), hehe, it was just wonderful. Awesome.

24 August 2008 - ESPLANADE .. The best performance this year. I hope this is not the end. I'm craving for more performances. Sadly, the best performance so far is where ALL my friends couldnt turn up in time. Whatever happened emotionally inside of me before and after the performance is for me to know and for them to find out. Maybe, they didnt know how much I wanted them to be there. What I know is, this performance was for Helmi, because he might not get anymore chances to perform again.

Bakthiar didnt get to perform. I felt sorry for what happened to his grandma. But he'll get another chance someday. He's still young.

Anw, I hope the journey towards publicity and popularity will not end here. Thanks guys. This is just the beginning. =)

Exams, Performance, New Song, December Identity

Exams are coming! Ahhhh.

I have to start studying already. I have been slacking since Thursday. Well, not really slacking. I had practice. Well, I know I'm almost there already for the performance. Just need to touch up some stuff with Joe and Azneil and also the kids which are performing too.

Ok, so this coming Friday is Maths Exam! 40%. Omg omg omg. Time really flies. And EL tech is on Saturday. I'm getting a little nervous but I can't wait to take the exams! I don't know why but I feel excited. Weird huh?

Alright. So my performance is on the 24th August at Esplanade. Time should be after 2pm. It's on a Sunday. =). I'm not sure about the location just yet. I'll update as soon as I get the information.

So whoever reads this, please be there. Everyone's invited, everyone's welcomed. I'll update again ASAP.

I'm also writing a new song currently. It's called 'I've Got The Answers'. Helmi just can't wait for me to finish it off. But a good song takes time. So chill. So if anyone wanna hear this song, PLEASE .. support me all the way. Who knows it might be the top hit song one day. Well, I have a feeling it's a good song which can become a number one hit someday. Actually, looking for real band members who can really go that far so that this song will go on air. Someday. For now, all I can do is wish and pray that my dreams can take me that far into the music industry.

December Identity has been reborn with only 4 members. But I have a feeling that staying with this band can't bring me that far. Well, anything can happen. This is just a feeling. It might just be a dream. It can also become reality. Nobody knows.

I'm off to sleep because I have to wake up early and start studying. See ya ..

Autocad - Completed
Materials - Completed
Workshop Practical - Completed
ComToolKit - Completed
IAC - Completed
EL Technology - Not completed
Maths - Not completed

This past week was the worst week in Poly so far. I had Autocad final test on Monday, Practical final test on Tuesday, IAC speech on Thursday and Materials which just ended today! All of them carried like 15%-50%. Stressed. But its over!

I had some stress relief session which was watching Beach Ball Babes. Ahh sexy. haha.

I'm so so sorry to song composing club. Out of 5 times they offered me to perform, I only did ONCE. Haiz. I'm so disappointed. I've let myself down. Performing is all I ever wanted to do, but I rejected 4 times. I keep telling myself that sometimes, I decline or reject something for the better. Exams for a particular module onli comes once in a lifetime but performances can be found anytime, anywhere.

But I'm so afraid that SCC won't wanna offer me any more performances next time. I guess I'll have to prove to them once again that I really want to perform. Well, I MISSED MY BIG CHANCE AT NGEE ANN CITY! I'm gonna make sure I'm not gonna miss another big chance which is at Esplanade on 24th August.

Next week is also the last week of school. There are 2 modules left to complete. EL tech and Maths. 40% for each final test. I need to study and do well.

Life has not been easy. School, Song Composing Club, Youth Club, Family and Friends. I need time for myself too. I guess I'll get it after 16th August.

With 1 semester gone, 5 semesters to go .. That's how fast poly life is.
