Results, work, band.

Results are officially out last Monday! And here are my results for the 1st Semester .. =)

So far, I've kept to my promises that I've made to myself. I can't wait for the 2nd Semester to start. I wanna strive to do better and maintain my results. I seriously want to get into University.

Last Friday was officially my final day of work. What it's worth, it was worth all the while. I've been working for 4 weeks. Time seems to have fly fast. I still remembered the first day when I stepped into the office. I was a total stranger, didnt know what to do. It was hard to adapt in the first place but as time goes by, I started to mix around with the ppl there. They were very nice, friendly and caring too. They also joked around. All those jokes were meant to cheer me up and made me smile.

A few of the full time employees there wanted me to extend for another week. Well, it's not that I dont want to. It's just that, 4 weeks is enough. I have another 3 weeks till school reopens and these 3 weeks are meant for shopping and celebrating Hari Raya Aidilfitri which falls in just 10 days time. I think 4 weeks was just perfect.

Now, I'm already missing Asiaciti Trust. Waking up early every morning and getting to work, pressing the bell waiting for the friendly administrator to open the door for me. haha. Well, if I'm ever gonna work there again, it would be in March next year and that is if my sister's friend still works there. If not, probably, this is the onli job in my teenage life which I earned big money. $8 bucks per hr. Who doesn't want it?

I'm having headaches now. I don't know where to get a tight fitting long sleeve shirt. I don't know where to get the shoe I've always dreamt of. I don't know where to get a nice, simple belt that suits me. But I sure know where to get new skinnies! haha.

And I'm back in business everyone! Time to continue chasing my dreams of becoming the next Kyle Patrick! Jamming was tough for the past 2 weeks. I got exhausted just now after jamming. Practice was tough as we had to get the drummer right. I just know that I'm not at my best. For the past few weeks, I haven been at my best. Maybe, its probably due to the fasting month. I just know that something's not right with my voice right now. I hope I get to find myself again in time before the performance. It's hard finding myself again. I had barely any time to practice for the past 4 weeks due to work. Now I know, its time to be serious again. I have to do this right. I don't want to embarass myself for a 2nd time at Claps this coming October.

Yussuf won't be performing. The music that we play might be lacking something on the day of the performance. It's just not right missing a guitarist who adds the effects and solos so well that none other of the band members can. Time has been rough training our new bassist too. It's gonna be his first ever performance with a real electric bass guitar. Drummer hasn't been exposed to the crowd since March 08. It'll definitely take time for him to regain that confidence in front of an audience. As for Helmi and me, we know what we are doing. We have been working together ever since the band broke up in mid April. We know our stuff well.

There's just something telling me, our performance in October won't be at the standard that I and Helmi wants. It's just too soon. I mean, it's DEFINITELY too soon. I need the band to be exposed to smaller audiences first. After the jamming session today, I feel that, we can do it, but not as good as what we imagine it to be.

We only have 2 - 3 sessions of jamming before the performance. It's just too little practice, and the performance is too soon. I hope, we can give the standard we longed for on the performance day itself. I have faith in every single December Identity band members.

Well, the performance is gonna be on the 18th of October at Bukit Merah Central. Be there! This is definitely the last of December Identity this year. After this, we'll be gearing up for a tour around Singapore in 2009. =)
