Back from camp!

I'm back from the 3 days 2 nights SoE Leadership camp! =)

I had lots and lots of fun there. Actually at first, I didn't wanna attend the camp, because I thought it would be boring and I had no friends there. But after going through the 3 days, I made lots of new friends, especially with my group members.

On day one, we played icebreaking games in the morning and telematches after lunch. My group didnt really know each other but we bonded together as a group, as a team, and overcame most of the challenges that we had to go through together. All of us had a chance to instruct our fellow members too. Finally I had the feeling of how those instructors feel when they try to give us instructions and we do whatever the instruction tells us to do so. After the telematches ended, my palms, were all worn out by the friction on the roads. Damn it hurts. Felt like asking for new palms. haha.

After wash up and dinner, we had to play a game called KIDNAPPED. haha. This game was the most fun game to me. We had to look for one of our group members who got kidnapped. We had 10 mins to search for him. Then, we have to complete several tasks to get 2 keys, which will unlock our group member when we find him. We didnt get to know where he was in the first 10 mins, so we went on to complete our tasks to get our keys. The first task was, blowing 5 balloons till they burst. Completed it, went back and chose 1 out of 20 boxes which has the key to our member who has been kidnapped. We got our first choice wrong and so we had to continue doing our second task which was catching peas with our mouths. haha. And we continued doing other tasks like dancing some hawaiian dance or something, throw freesbies and catch them, and finally we got the 2 keys which we need. So we went searching for our member, and finally found him near block 26. We untied him from the chains and guess what. WE HAD TO CARRY HIM ALL THE WAY BACK TO THE SPORTS COMPLEX, the point where we started. He's not light for sure. When carrying him, my other group members started to sing the chinese song for dead people. OMG. so funny lah. HAHA! All the salutes and respect. They have gone nuts but it was seriously quite fun.

After a long long day of running here and there, finally we had our supper of the day and went back to our rooms. My bunk contains different people. Onli 2 of them were from my group, the other 5 were not. But guess what, they are also the same! haha. Funny and nutcase ppl. It was fun being with them too. All the funny jokes starts to come out sudd. haha.

AND BEING THE ROOM-IN-CHARGE PERSON, I had to sleep early because I had to go down by 7 30 am in the morning to get breakfast for my roommates. Gosh. But too bad there were no breakfast delivered in the morning. Waited so long but the breakfast didnt came. And the schedule of the day had to be shifted one hour forward because all of us had to go for breakfast somewhere else.

So on day two, my group met at the grandstand and it started to rain heavily. So we had a few talks about what we were gonna perform for the night. When the rain stopped, we went for 'The Casualty Challenge'. We had to walk all around Ngee Ann. First casualty was, there is a pail full of water. One of us had to carry it all the way throughout the walk. Then we walked for another few metres before we had our second casualty, which was my groupmate who had to act as if she has sprained her ankle. And had to walk all the way acting that way. Then there were 3 casualties who had to be blindfolded all the way, and I was a casualty too. Another casualty with a sprained ankle, but they had to carry me because, I have a sprained ankle and cant walk. haha. So my other group members had to carry me.

We had our lunch soon after the game. After lunch was the most disturbing, violent, diciplined game I've ever been involved in. Firstly, we had to be diciplined with some commands given. Like NS. Omg. But its good because I've learnt something. After that, was the most violent game. All the guys had to form a circle, squeezing each other, hands holding on to each other and the objective is to prevent the other instructors from being able to pull any of us out of the circle we form. The instructors were strong. We had to use all the strength we have, to save our friends from getting pulled out. We got squeezed, elbowed, sandwiched, and the instructors took a pail of water and splashed it at us when we were concentrating. It was raining too. There was this one part where everyone fell on each other. One of my legs were entangled in between some ppl. But in the last round, we managed to keep ourselves together without having a single on of us pulled out. Since he bet 300 dollars before the game, whichever team who manage to keep intact on the final round, will get it. So in the end we managed to get that 300 bucks. And he treat all of us one magnum icecream each! Wheeeeeeeeeee! hahaa. Then we were shouting and cheering like crazy. Its just soo different. I haven been in that kind of fun for a long long time. Anything you do, ppl wont care, because, its all about fun.

We had gala night, at night, which is performances by all the groups. We were the last group to perform because we planned to get everyone to sing a graduation song by vitamin c at the end. It was touching. Everyone singing together. Omg. Then the instructors also perform. I like the one when they perform a dance and the song they use is the Xi Shua Shua song. hahahaha! Soo funny, sooo cute. haha.

After that we had a chit chat and reflection session. Each of us get to speak about what we have learnt from the camp and what we wanna improve in ourselves.

We also planned a night walk for our group instructor, Krystle. Haha. We planned to scare her. In the end, she onli had 10 mins with us. So we onli managed to get through the first part of the night walk. Well, I went for the trial night walk, it was scary. I didnt go for the actual one because I was asleep. hahaha.

And that's about it lah. Woke up on the 3rd day, onli had to check out of the room, and go for a talk. After that, we had prize giving, our group was named the best group of the camp! Wheeee. AND GUESS WHAT WE WON, SQUEEZE BALLS! hahaha. Those spongy spongy balls. Yeah, one for each. haha.
